About NEXGEN Executive Coaching Academy
We Help Coaches Build
Real Businesses
NEXGEN was built by coaches and business leaders who saw the same problem:
talented people getting certified, then not knowing what to do next.
We built the program we wished existed.
OUR WHY
The world is changing fast.
Roles are disappearing.
AI is reshaping how work is done — and many professionals are left wondering what comes next.
You may feel successful on paper, yet uncertain about how to stay relevant, independent, and in control of your future. Traditional paths no longer offer the clarity or security they once did.
Human to human connection is your next super power.
We started where you are.
You're good at your job. But what's next?
You've built a career. You have experience, skills, and wisdom. Coaching lets you use all of it — and get paid for it. We help you make that shift without starting from zero.
Other programs are rigid. We're not.
Universities have cohorts. You wait months. You follow their schedule. We're different — join any time, learn at your pace, fit it around your life. No waiting, no rigid start dates.
Certified but no clients. That stops here.
Most programs hand you a certificate and wish you luck. We teach you how to find clients, set your prices, and build a business that actually earns. From day one.
Why NEXGEN exists
NEXGEN Executive Coaching Academy was founded in 2026 by Lyssa deHart (LICSW, MCC) and Jake Mannino (MBA, PCC) to address a specific gap in the professional coaching education market: the absence of programs that combine ICF-credentialed coach training with practical business-building skills.
According to the World Economic Forum, over 85 million jobs may be displaced by automation by 2025 — accelerating demand for human-centered skills like executive coaching.
NEXGEN's programs are designed specifically for accomplished working professionals who want to become credentialed ICF executive coaches and build sustainable coaching businesses — without leaving their current careers to do it.

01
PCC-Level Standards
This means that even students pursuing the entry-level ICF ACC credential are trained to the standard of a Professional Certified Coach — a higher bar than most competing programs.
02
Clear ICF Pathway
The ICF credentialing process (training hours, mentor coaching, performance evaluation, application) is mapped out for each student from day one — removing the guesswork that causes most coaching students to delay or abandon their credential application.
03
Open Enrollment
Unlike university-based programs with fixed cohort start dates, NEXGEN's open enrollment allows professionals to begin their training at any time and move at a pace that fits their career.
04
Practice Hours, Solved
The ICF requires coaches to complete 100 hours of paid or unpaid coaching experience before qualifying for the ACC credential. NEXGEN's Barter Coaching Platform connects students with real practice clients — solving the biggest practical barrier new coaches face.
Standards & Credentials
ICF-aligned.
Rigorously designed.
The International Coaching Federation sets the global standard for professional coaching. We don't just mention ICF — we've built our entire curriculum around it, so you're not playing catch-up after the fact.
We've partnered with Lyssa deHart Coaching for our Level 1 and Level 2 coaching programs.
Every hour, every assessment, every coaching conversation in our program is designed to advance your ICF credential pathway — whether you're targeting ACC or PCC.
You shouldn’t feel stuck or unsure what to do next.
With NEXGEN, you won’t. You’ll learn how to become
a coach and build your own business.
